Generosity Breeds Joy Day - Kenneled for a Cause

The Jacksonville Humane Society is inviting YOU to be "Kenneled for a Cause" while we celebrate Generosity Breeds Joy Day on Tuesday, November 9.
We're inviting the public to be Kenneled for a Cause. What does this mean?
- Participants will be placed inside a large dog kennel, large dog suite, cat group room, or our small dog and puppy room for a 90-minute shift. All participants will begin their shift with a cone of shame, a bottle of water, and no chair to sit on.
- Participants must create a Facebook fundraiser for JHS. We suggest setting a goal of $1,500, but there is no minimum fundraising requirement. During your 90-minute shift, you can encourage your friends, family, neighbors, acquaintances, etc., to donate to help you reach your goal!
- You can earn rewards by hitting fundraising milestones:
Raise $100 = Remove your cone of shame
Raise $200 = Receive a treat for your pet
Raise $300 = Receive a treat for yourself
Raise $400 = Receive a chair to sit on
Raise $500 = Receive an enrichment item or activity for your pet
Raise $600 = Receive a 15-minute walk with your dog or a break outside
Raise $700 = Receive a book to read to your pet
Raise $800 = Receive an enrichment item or activity for your pet
Raise $900 = Choose another participant to lose their chair for 30 minutes
Raise $1,000 = Receive a coupon for 10% off any purchase in our retail store
Raise $1,250 = Receive a 15-minute walk with your dog or a break outside
Raise $1,500 = You did it! You hit your fundraising goal and will be released from your kennel. (You may also choose to stay in your kennel for the remainder of your 90-minute shift.)
All participants must wear face masks or coverings at all times.
Participants must be 18 years of age or older. Children 12 years of age and up may participate with an adult, but due to space limitations, only 1 child may participate with 1 adult.
